CHATTER PROGRAM FOR SOCIAL SKILLS- Back @ PICS on Early Dismissals!

Target Audience: Grade 1-4 & 5-8 students (by teacher referral)
Would you like to learn strategies to grow your social communication and conversation skills, develop friendships, and better understand your own and others’ emotions? If so, Chatter is the place for you! A team of speech-language pathologists, occupational therapists, physical therapists, and behavioral consultants develop lessons for the Chatter Program and lead the sessions.
PEER SUPPORT: GR. 9-12 STUDENTS- WE NEED YOU!
Peers are students from Grades 9-12 who volunteer to attend Chatter to learn the lessons with the participants and help them practice skills. Peers are chosen based on their interest, their ability to be a role model, and their commitment to helping people in their school community. Peers will be selected based on their application and their availability on Early Dismissal Tuesdays.
An info session will be held toward the end of September at a lunch hour (date TBD)! Stay tuned for more details!
The tentative date for peer training has been set for Early Dismissal Tuesday, October 7, 205 (2:00-3:15 pm). Questions and to sign up? Please contact Arenda Vanderveen at [email protected].
