I have been teaching at PICS since 2018 in a variety of different high school subjects.
This year, I teach Biology 20/30, Math 30-1, English 10, Science 9, and Esthetics (makeup - yes, you read that correctly!). This is almost my perfectly ideal course load, so I'm particularly excited for this year. I hope you are too!
I am currently hoping to go back to school online to earn my Master's in the next few years while continuing to teach at the same time.
In addition to teaching, I typically volunteer as a staff rep for at least one high school sports team, which means I go along with the students to all of their games and tournaments. I also help out with organizing makeup volunteers for the Adrenaline Theatre production each year, so this year we will be working on getting ready for that for a good chunk of our makeup class. I also do wedding makeup outside of school a number of times each year, and in my spare time I like to hang out with my husband and my cats, play eSports, research and learn more about whatever happens to pop into my brain, and sometimes golf (an expensive and mosquito-ey hobby, but I recently discovered that I actually quite enjoy it!). :)
The text below (Mr. Paul Cruz's and my wedding text) is a source of peace for the very busy lives we all have here on Earth. I'm sure if you're reading this, you probably have just as many things going on as I do, and even one little thing that doesn't go as we expected can sometimes throw a wrench in our daily lives. It's comforting to know that God's providence doesn't fail, and that we can trust the future to the God whose plans are more perfect than ours can ever hope to be.
